The Great Commision Fulfillment

At the end of the book of Matthew we are blessed with The Great Commision.

18 And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. 19 Go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to [c]follow all that I commanded you; and behold, I am with you [d]always, to the end of the age.”

This was not just a command to the Apostles but to all Christians. Are you a Christian? Then consider Christ speaking directly to you with this directive. Not a suggestion but a directive from Christ Himself. What may help you fulfill such direction?

Well...what might your guests think if they see Christian artwork on your living room walls? Their comment as to how good it looks opens the door to comment on you being a Christian and why. Could your guest's interest lead to a conversation about Christianity or Christ or even the gospel. Many links can be in the chain that leads one to Christ and Christianity. You may have planted just such a link.

Does such an event only have opportunity within your home? Absolutely not! What if you were wearing a t-shirt having Christian artwork. Wherever you go the message of Christianity is being sent. Whether you are at a restaurant or shopping, you are sending a strong message about Christ and Christianity by wearing such a message. You may have people come up to you and comment on your t-shirt's artwork creating an opportunity to chat. Even if folks see your artwork from a distance, you have planted a seed for their further thought.

I regularly will sit at restaurant bars with my laptop, diet Coke and... my sweatshirt with Christ's face on the front and back. Many times, other residents of the bar will comment or even joke about my attire and yet it gives me the opportunity to start a chat. Again, a seed is planted. Whether it be wall art or clothing the subliminal message being sent is very powerful.
